Standards for Ear Protection

| EN 352-1 | Ear muffs with earpieces that cover the entire outer ear. Attenuation value and material may vary. |
| EN 352-2 | Earplugs that are inserted into the ear canal. Various materials with different attenuation values can be used. |
| EN 352-3 | Earmuffs without earpieces, e.g. for mounting on a helmet or face shield. |
| EN ISO 9612 | Determination of noise exposure at the workplace. (According to SUVA, noise protection measures must be taken from a noise level of =>85dB). |
| dB | Indicates by how many decibels the noise level is reduced. Example: Noise level 100dB - hearing protection 23dB = 77dB at the ear. |
